Since 1981, Colorado State University’s Ag Day has celebrated food, football and CSU’s “Ag Family” — producers, supporters, and consumers of Colorado agriculture. The week leading up to the annual tailgate barbecue and football game brings new and old friends together to honor CSU’s agricultural roots, welcome people to our table, and look ahead to the future.

This year’s Nutrien Ag Day BBQ took place on Saturday, Sept. 11, prior to the CSU Rams vs. Vanderbilt Commodores football game, serving as a reunion celebration of community, resilience, and Colorado grown and raised products and their producers. The Colorado of Agricultural Sciences’ Ag Week Picnic on the Monfort Quad took place on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Ag on the Plaza offered a showcase of agricultural innovation and CSU’s commitment to the land-grant mission. Friday night’s Fall Gather alumni event welcomed alumni and friends back to campus for the weekend’s events, and the week culminated with the public opening of the Grand Opening of the Temple Grandin Equine Center.
