Nutrien Ag Day BBQ volunteers needed, barbecue tickets on sale

As the 40th anniversary of Colorado State University’s Ag Day nears, volunteers are needed to support the success of the Nutrien Ag Day BBQ, a celebration that honors the university’s roots and Colorado’s rich agricultural history. Event volunteers for the Sept. 11 event will receive a complimentary barbecue ticket, T-shirt, and the opportunity to purchase a discounted ticket for the orange-out CSU Rams vs. Vanderbilt Commodores football game.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer assignments for the Nutrien Ag Day BBQ include working with commodity groups to serve food, handing out plates and utensils to guests, and helping with beverage distribution. Shifts are 5.5 hours long — including setup, the event, and post-event cleanup, with a break to take part in the festivities — and will be filled on a first-come basis.

Volunteers are also asked to attend one information session during the week leading up to the event to complete paperwork, pick up T-shirts, and receive information on assignments. Sessions will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 7, from 4 – 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 9, from 4:30 – 6 p.m.
