CSU Ag Day’s tasty tradition returns Sept. 30

Since 1981, CSU Ag Day has honored Colorado State University’s roots as a leader in agricultural research, education and outreach by bringing people together around the table to celebrate food, fellowship and football. This year’s Nutrien Ag Day BBQ is Saturday, Sept. 30, before the CSU Rams football team takes on Utah Tech at Canvas Stadium.

The tasty tradition includes a cookout hosted by the College of Agricultural Sciences featuring Colorado commodities, music and interactive activities for guests of all ages. The barbecue begins at 1 p.m. on the intramural fields west of the Lory Student Center, with food service ending at 4 p.m., one hour prior to kickoff.

Celebrating Colorado agriculture

The Nutrien Ag Day BBQ showcases the important partnership between CSU and agricultural partners throughout the state, while supporting student scholarships and the future of the agriculture industry. The pregame event features the state’s agricultural growers and producers preparing a variety of fresh, quality food products from around Colorado.

What began as a small barbecue has evolved into an annual event that draws more than 3,000 people, and proceeds from ticket sales have raised more than half a million dollars to fund scholarships for agricultural sciences students.

Purchase tickets to Ag Day
